LittleChirp lets you update your Twitter status faster than any other app. It can be assigned to a side convenience key to launch a floating input-box to type in your tweet and post by hitting enter. Currently works with the 8520, 8900, 9000, 9630, 9700. We’ll be adding support for more devices soon.

To get LittleChirp use one of the following download options:

NOTE: Twitter are turning off the Basic Auth mechanism used by LittleChirp on 18th August 2010, we’ve removed LittleChirp from AppStore while we work on an upgrade using their new authentication model. Thank you for your patience.

1 – Visit m.naviina.eu from your BlackBerry browser.

2 – Go to the App World page from your desktop where you can mail yourself a link (click the ‘Get it Today’ image).

3 – On your BlackBerry open App World and search for ‘LittleChirp’ or navigate to the IM & Social Networking > Social Networking category.

The latest version is 1.1.0, this version fixes a few minor bugs (delete key now works allowing proper editing and double-tapping space injects a period character) and also has an improved icon.

To get the most out of LittleChirp it’s important to set it to launch from one of the BlackBerry side convenience keys (go to Options > Screen and Keyboard to do this), we use it alongside other apps that let you follow friends and manage your account but for actually posting a tweet LittleChirp is by far the most hassle-free method.
